As manufacturers of Hand-crafted Dupattas, we generate waste. We understand that it is next to impossible to build a brand that is 100% sustainable, but it is possible to modify processes to produce ethical, environmentally, and socially responsible clothing. 

Our strategy is simple and we are trying to follow the principle of 5Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Re-design, and Re-image. Our motto is - Let’s make the most of the least”.

We ensure that nothing gets wasted at anokherang. Every single piece of cloth that is leftover from the design, be it fabric, accessories, trims - everything gets used in future designs and accessories.

In association with JD Institute, unused threads and fabric scraps provided by anokherang were meticulously transformed into flowers, thread strings, and woven textures.

 All our orders are shipped in the fabric bags. These fabric bags can be used by customers for their daily shopping hence discouraging the use of plastic. These items are made by a small group of women, hence allowing them to earn money and contribute to their household expenses.
